Bromsgrove Sporting 1 (Pavey 4'
Stratford Town 2 (Lafferty 13', James 55')
Stratford Town came from behind to beat Bromsgrove Sporting on Saturday afternoon by two goals to one.
A Charlie Pavey screamer gave Sporting an early lead but goals from Dan Lafferty and Owen James resulted in the Bards taking all three points back to Warwickshire.
The deadlock was broken after just four minutes, as Aston Villa-loanee Pavey curled a cracking strike from 25 yards into the top corner.
It would only take the visitors nine minutes to bag the leveller, as Lafferty was in the right place at the right time to head home after Sporting stopper Rory Brown saved an initial effort.
Stratford's Dan Vann had a 27th minute volley well saved by Brown before Sporting's Luke Benbow had a free kick from a little over 20 yards well saved by Stratford keeper Jake Weaver in the 39th minute.
The 53rd minute saw Bromsgrove's Luke Softley have a close range header tipped onto the crossbar by Weaver - two minutes later, Stratford took the lead, as James found the top corner from inside the area.
Stratford substitute Henry Landers missed the target from a golden position with just over 15 minutes of normal time remaining, whilst fellow substitute Max Lott hit the side netting deep into added time in his attempt to score his side's third goal of the match.
