Information for Sporting’s Female Teams, together with list of contacts can be viewed below.
– Vision
To establish Bromsgrove Sporting as the flagship venue for female football in the West Midlands, by offering facilities and coaching in an atmosphere that is conducive to nurturing and developing the talent from within the local community and the creation of a pathway to the first team and beyond.
– The Pathway
The establishment of the female football pathway is an integral part of Bromsgrove Sporting Football Club’s vision for our female section. It will also provide a valuable contribution to the overall community and its spirit.
– Links to local schools
The relationships between the club and local schools is essential in our determination to encourage more girls into football – this is led by our schools liaison officer.
– Sporting Foundation
The starting point for our girls teams, designed to get girls into football for the first time, in a safe and friendly environment. The emphasis is on enjoyment and learning the basics. This is a training only option for girls to start their personal journey along our pathway, leading to eventually being involved in teams.
– The Teams
Over the next few years, we plan to get girls playing football at all age groups, with the emphasis on skills development, team engagement and the creation of friendships.
– The Football Development Programme
This is to run in conjunction with Colmers School and Sixth Form College.
This exciting new partnership, for 16 to 19-year-olds, will offer budding footballers an incredible opportunity to join the Colmers Sixth Form and Bromsgrove Sporting Football Foundation team in September 2025.
– The under 18 team
This is for the younger aspiring players who have shown potential and need to gain experience in a very competitive environment in order to progress to the first team.
– The Ladies Development team
A mixture of experienced players, supported by younger girls, who are looking to take the next step into adult ladies football – this will act as an ideal preparation for the first team.
– The Ladies First team
The goal for the first team is to play at the highest level possible, providing the opportunity for local ‘home grown’ players to progress as far as their abilities and commitment will take them. Home games take place at the UK Electrical Stadium.
