LADIES
- It was a disappointing result for the Ladies on Sunday against Hereford Pegasus Women. Once again, they made an abundance of chances but they just struggled to take them. Changing formation for this game made it difficult for Bromsgrove, with just one striker up top. After going down 1-0 at half time, Sporting quickly returned to their favoured 3-5-2 and, within 10 minutes of the second half, they were were quickly level through a superb strike by POTM Beth Breen. In the ascendancy, Bromsgrove then made numerous chances, until a defensive mistake gifted Hereford the lead once again. The ladies, deflated, pushed on for a second, but were caught twice on the break in last few minutes of the game.
- Manager Alan Horton commented: “A tough one to take, but we played a major part in their own downfall – not doing the simple things, like looking after the ball. There were lots of positives though – the difference with this league is you have to take your chances; Hereford never had many but were clinical with the ones they had.”
- This Sunday, they are at home to Worcester City Women Reserves at the UK Electrical Stadium (2:00 KO).

- They played Worcester United on Sunday, in a competitive and hard fought game where they gave everything they had. The first half was a very even game, with both teams making chances. A flurry of activity at the end of the half in the Sporting penalty area saw Bromsgrove put in some resolute defending, but a Worcester player hit a screamer into the net to make it 1-0 at half time. The second half followed a similar pattern to the first, but Bromsgrove flagged towards the end and were hit with another belter to make it 2-0. A further two goals followed, to make the final score a disappointing 4-0.

- Bromsgrove Sporting U10 Girls. They had a home game against Newtown Sports. After a change in positions before the start of the game, the girls all gave their best performance possible in the first half and made the game very close. Second half and the girls showed their strength and fitness, keeping up the pace and ending the game with the best performance of the season so far. Their last game of the year is away at Nunnery wood.
- Bromsgrove Sporting U13 Girls. Last weekend, the Under 13s faced an unbeaten Droitwich Spa Ravens side and knew that it would be a tough game – the Sporting girls were ready for the challenge though, and met it head on. The game started with Droitwich pushing Sporting back and the Spa left winger caused Bromsgrove a few problems early on, getting in behind and producing a number of dangerous crosses across the box. Sporting did manage to get a foothold into the game though and managed a couple of good counter attacks – the second of which saw Emilia get into the box, cut inside and hit a great shot to the right of the keeper to make it 1-0. Sporting continued to play well for the rest of the half, which was eagerly contested by both teams. The second half saw Sporting start the brighter and Bromsgrove managed to create another couple of chances, with Esmee going close with a shot from the edge of the box and Emily breaking through the right side, seeing her shot saved. As the half wore on, Droitwich did manage to come back into it, with the last 10 minutes being a backs-to-the-wall defensive job by the Sporting team. Lots of last ditch challenges and blocks kept Droitwich out, whilst a looping shot nearly caught Layla off guard, but she managed to tip it onto the crossbar. Another fantastic performance from the girls and another clean sheet, with a 1-0 victory. This weekend, they are at home to Worcester City.
- Bromsgrove Sporting U18 Girls. They had no game last weekend – this weekend, they entertain Birmingham Youth Sports Academy.
