REMEMBERING Alan ‘Jock’ Whyte
Prior to kick off, there will be a minute’s of applause, following the passing of Sporting fan, Alan ‘Jock’ Whyte.
The following is a message from Jock’s son, Stuart…
For those who knew my Dad, Alan Whyte – or ‘Big Jock’
The club have arranged a personal minute’s applause before the game, in recognition of his loyal support of Bromsgrove Sporting over many years, home and away.
He loved coming down to the Victoria Ground to cheer the team on up until he was 93 years old, but sadly passed away in April this year. He also enjoyed many great away games. seeing Sporting succeed in their promotions.
His family and friends will be on the terrace, joining in the acknowledgement of a lovely man and true Sporting fan, that many knew and admired.
A true legend that will never be forgotten. See you on Saturday.

- Last season away: P21 W11 D7 L3. GD +21. 40 points.
- As league champions, Anstey lost the fewest amount of games last season (6), had the best goal difference (+45), drew the joint second most away matches (7 – only St Neots on more with 8) and had the best away goal difference (+21).
- They won their final ELEVEN league games in a row last season to leapfrog Carlton Town into first place and dramatically win the league.
- Their last match without a win was a defeat against eventual second place Carlton, on 7th March, as they got beaten 0-2 at home. Prior to that, they went nine unbeaten in the league (W5 D4), with their last defeat then being a 3-2 loss at Racing Club Warwick – another team who are playing in the Southern Premier Central this season.
- With two 1-1 draws this season (one home, one away), this means they have gone 13 league games without losing and 12 away league games without losing (W7 D5) across the two divisions.
- Their 11 games winning league streak came to an end via an opening day 1-1 draw versus Leiston, whilst their six match winning league streak away from home ended on Tuesday at Leamington, with another 1-1 draw.
