Bromsgrove Sporting came away from Staffordshire with a resounding victory against bottom placed Rocester Town to take 13 point lead at the summit of the Midland Football league Premier Division.
The Rouslers raced into an early lead with John Pykett tapping the ball home from inside the 6 yard box after great work by Jason Cowley on 4 minutes, but the home team equalised within 2 minutes when Harry Towner squeezed the ball home through a crowded defence
Straight from the kick off Richard Gregory regained the lead for the visitors when he scored from close range after 'keeper Charlie Wood could only parry Pykett's cross.
On 15 minutes it was 3-1 when Jason Cowley's latched onto a long clearance and his shot trickled over the line despite the best efforts of Carl Allen to clear.
The fourth goal came within seconds of the restart, Gregory creating an opportunity for Drew Canavan to curl a shot into the top corner.
The visitors continued to attack for the remainder of the half, Canavan, Guy Clarke and Cowley all going close but Wood made some good saves as the visitors were rampant.
Luke Dugmore scored the fifth two minutes into the second period with a powerful shot that cannoned into the net after hitting the underside of the bar.
Gregory scored the sixth on 65 minutes after substitute Rmar Murray had created the opportunity after weaving into the area from Reece Francis' long clearance, and Cowley scored the final goal in the rout on 75 minutes and became the club's record goalscorer.
Despite continuing to press hard in this one sided affair the season's 100th goal eluded the Rouslers, captain Aaron Roberts coming agonisingly close with the last kick of the game.
