Bromsgrove Sporting 1 (Cooper 69')
Mickleover 1 (Greaves 71' Pen)
Mickleover's 100% start to the league season came to an end in their 12th match, as a well organised Bromsgrove Sporting bagged a richly deserved 1-1 draw.
Makeshift forward Keanu Cooper gave Sporting the lead in the 69th minute before Oliver Greaves levelled the score from the penalty spot two minutes later.
The visitors enjoyed the vast majority of the early possession, with chances falling to Joseph Bateman and Jake Bennett - both of whom were unable to find the target.
Despite Mickleover controlling the proceedings, the best chances of the half fell to the Rouslers, as Cooper had a shot saved by keeper Oliver Bosworth from close range in the 27th minute before Jack Newell struck wide 60 seconds later after a free kick was aimed towards the box.
Both sides had chances before the opener came, as Bateman speculatively volleyed wide from 25 yards six minutes into the second half before Ethan Mann headed a Ryan Wilson free kick wide.
The 64th minute saw Cooper head the ball narrowly wide from a corner; the opener came five minutes later, as Ayo Lekuti smartly found Cooper in the box, who neatly guided his effort into the goal.
The joy of leading was short-lived however, as Greaves slotted home a penalty straight down the middle after Bateman was brought down in the area.
Lekuti had a shot blocked with three minutes of normal time remaining, whilst Stuart Beavon and Daniel Bradley were unable to test Ollie Taylor with their respective efforts in the final few moments.
