Bromsgrove Sporting 1 (Wynne 55')
Alvechurch 4 (Guinan 5', Ngandu 10', Abbey 31, Sullivan 67')
Bromsgrove Sporting lost their first match in four on Tuesday evening, as they fell to a chastening 4-1 home defeat to Worcestershire rivals Alvechurch.
Two goals inside the opening 10 minutes from Zac Guinan and Jonny Ngandu left Sporting shellshocked, before a third from Jez Abbey in the 31st minute but the game beyond any reasonable doubt.
George Wynne did pull one back for the Rouslers in the 55th minute, but Callum Sullivan reestablished the three goal advantage 12 minutes later.
Former Rousler Guinan broke the deadlock five minutes in, as he slipped the defence, rounded keeper Ellis Litherland and slotted home into an empty net.
It was two in the 10th minute, as Ngandu struck from the edge of the area and found the bottom corner.
The third was scored after great work from Ethan Sephton up the left wing allowed him to put an inviting ball into the box, which Abbey met first to guide it into the goal.
Sporting's best chance of the first half came in the third minute of additional time, as Jack Kelly's curling free kick hit the top of the crossbar.
Litherland kept out shots from Guinan and Ngandu early in the second half, before Bromsgrove got on the scoresheet.
Brad Stretton teed up Wynne, who neatly sidefooted the ball into the bottom corner from a little over 20 yards out.
Abbey headed wide for Alvechurch in the 66th minute, but they would only have to wait a further minute for their fourth, as Sullivan hammered a shot into the net from just outside the area.
That goal, in truth, sucked any of the remaining life out of the game, as Alvechurch cruised to victory in what was a battle of two teams looking over their shoulder at the relegation zone.
