Bromsgrove Sporting’s U21s were not in action last weekend, after their fixture was cancelled for the second week running.
Cold weather spread a blanket of snow across the area, resulting in poor pitch conditions that forced last Saturday’s match against Stourbridge U21s to be called off, in addition to many other fixtures in the area.
Dismal weather conditions also forced last week’s team training session to be cancelled.
In other news this week, Bromsgrove Sporting U21s announced a new signing of Alemi Obey-GM.
The 17-year old winger joins Bromsgrove from Pershore Town Development FC, after catching the eye of management during a County Cup fixture earlier this season.
“Alemi is a very direct winger who likes to take players on with pace,” said U21s joint manager Mark Reeve.
“He is a player who we hope can develop and do very well with Bromsgrove Sporting.”
The team are now focused on their next match against 2nd place Boldmere St Michael’s U21s, who they are set to face this weekend.
Fellow joint manager, Stuart Carson, said: “The lads will be eager to get back to it this week following the weather disrupting our fixtures last weekend.
“A tough tie lies ahead against a well organised Boldmere side and we will be looking to carry our recent form into the weekend.”
The Rouslers last faced Boldmere in October, which ended in a 2-2 draw at the UK Electrical Stadium.
“With the previous encounter ending with a 2-2 draw, a competitive fixture awaits away against Boldmere,” added Reeve.
“We are looking forward to getting back to training & League action this coming week.”
Bromsgrove Sporting U21s will play Boldmere St Michael’s U21s on Saturday 30th November at the Boldmere Community Stadium, with a later kick off at 11:30am.
