- Bromsgrove Sporting U10 Girls. The sun was shining as Bromsgrove Sporting Girls U10s took to the field for their last home game against Nunnery Wood Girls U10s. From the first whistle, both teams showed incredible determination and a strong desire to win, delivering an exciting, end-to-end contest. Every player on the pitch gave it their all, playing with enthusiasm and skill, all while wearing smiles on their faces. The first half saw plenty of action, with both teams pressing forward and defending resolutely. The half-time whistle blew and the girls welcomed the break after a high-energy performance. The second half picked up right where the first left off, with the same relentless pace and determination from both sides. The match continued to be an evenly contested battle, showcasing great teamwork and individual moments of brilliance from all involved. Sporting have demonstrated fantastic skill, a positive attitude, and a real passion for the game throughout the season. With no league game until 3rd May, the team now looks forward to their next challenge, ready to build on their strong performances. Well done to all the players for their effort and commitment in what was a thrilling and enjoyable match!
- Bromsgrove Sporting U13 Girls. It was a 0-0 draw away at Worcester United last weekend. Sporting started strongly, with a real determination and better tempo than the last couple of games. The game was another close affair between these two teams, with both defences coming out on top, but it was Sporting who created the better of the chances. Player of the match Immy was getting into good space between Worcester’s midfield and defence, managing to put a number of dangerous through balls in behind – but credit to Worcester, they defended them very well. A couple of other good chances fell to Sporting but were well saved. At the other end, Worcester managed to get in behind but the shot was deflected and then came off the post. In the second half, Sporting continued to press and started to dominate, with a number of very good chances again well stopped by Worcester. Immy managed to dance through, beating two players, but couldn’t get a clean shot off and it was saved again. The last ten minutes saw the game open up, with both teams pushing for that elusive goal, with chances opening up at both ends. However, neither team managed to take advantage. It was a good game, with Sporting playing some lovely passing football and showing great composure on the ball. It was good to see some of the things they’ve been working on in training coming off. They have a home game against Kingfisher on Saturday.
- Bromsgrove Sporting U18 Girls. They entertained Old Wulfrunians last weekend and were extremely unlucky to lose 1-0. The girls dominated the game in the first half and came close on quite a few occasions, but could not get the ball in the net. The second half was much the same, with chances being made but not taken. With a minute to go, Sporting were denied a penalty and were doubly punished by Old Wulfrunians in the last attack of the game, when they scored the winner with a fine taken goal. They travel to Leamington this weekend.
