Bromsgrove Sporting 2 (Wragg 35', Cook 60' P)
Spalding United 0 (Warburton 84' Red Card)
Bromsgrove Sporting recorded their first home win of the season after comfortably beating Spalding United.
Walsall loanee Charlie Wragg fired the Rouslers into a first half lead before Kieran Cook doubled the advantage from the penalty spot on the hour mark.
The early stages of the game were relatively low on chances, with Jamie Meddows and Theo Robinson unable to make the most of opportunities for the home side.
The deadlock was broken 35 minutes in, as Wragg latched onto a ball in the area, from which he coolly slotted home into the net.
Robinson and Meddows both missed the target with strikes early in the second half before Wragg had a shot well saved by former Rousler Tony Breeden.
The 54th minute saw Sporting stopper Charlie Price produce a decent save to keep out a Lewis Darlington strike, with Tyler Winters heading wide for Spalding a minute later.
The second came via the left boot of Cook, who neatly placed his penalty into the bottom corner after referee Lewis Mountain blew his whistle for a handball offence.
Robinson almost made it three in the 62nd minute, but he dragged an effort from just inside the box wide.
Spalding's afternoon went from bad to worse six minutes from time, as Sam Warburton received a second yellow card for a shirt pull on substitute Harry Crook.
