Barwell 0
Bromsgrove Sporting 3 (Shaw 14', Newell 58', Sanderson 90+2', Hall Red Card 90')
Bromsgrove Sporting notched up just their second ever FA Trophy win on Saturday afternoon, courtesy of a comprehensive 3-0 win at Barwell.
A first half Billy Shaw opener was followed by goals from Jack Newell and debutant James Sanderson, as Sporting recorded their second win against the Canaries in a fortnight.
The deadlock was broken after 14 minutes, when Reece King headed the ball into the path of Charlie Pavey, who selflessly teed up Shaw to tap home into an empty net.
Former Rousler Charlie Dowd had a 37th minute strike saved by Sporting stopper Adam Harrison, whilst Gus Sanches had a flicked effort kept out by Barwell keeper Finn Osborn just before half time.
Newell doubled the lead in the 58th minute, hitting a cultured right footed strike from the edge of the area that curled majestically into the goal.
Harrison made another good save in the 64th minute, keeping out a low effort from Ethan Hill.
Sporting substitutes Kobe Hall and Sanderson had opportunities in the 79th and 82nd minutes respectively to add to the scoring, but neither could capitalise on them.
Hall was given a straight red card for dissent in the 90th minute, after the referee ignored his appeal for a penalty kick.
Sanderson, who has joined Sporting on loan from League Two side Notts County, would eventually get on the scoresheet, when his strike curled away from Osborn and neatly into the bottom corner.
