CLUB SHOP

Be sure to give our club shop a visit! Why? Well, one reason is…

  • You may remember last month that we was giving away a ticket (for entry to a game & a ÂŁ10 food voucher). This was for the lucky recipient of the matchday programme that featured Aaron Roberts’ signature on the poster to mark his 300th Sporting appearance.
  • Well, this ticket went unclaimed, so we are therefore raffling it off at Saturday’s game! For just ÂŁ1, you could win the entry and food voucher to a game of your choice, with all proceeds going to our chosen charity for the season, St Basils!
  • Simply head to our club shop & buy a ticket! The winner will be drawn at half time and announced over our tannoy at some point afterwards.

FAMILY TICKET

  • This season, we have launched a family ticket deal that sees two adults and three children get in for ÂŁ25.
  • This ticket also entitles you to 10% off all food & drink.
  • To get this ticket, enter through the main office reception.

OPPOSITION

  • This season: P23 W5 D5 L13. 20 points. GD -16. They sit 21st (of 22 teams).
  • This season (away): P10 W2 D3 L5. 9 points. GD -5.
  • Last five league games: W1 D2 L2
  • Last five league away games: W1 D2 L2
  • Most recent match: 2-0 home win versus Barwell (New Year’s Day)
  • Most recent away match: 2-1 loss at Bedford (26th December)
  • In a team befitting of being second bottom in the league, they have the second fewest league wins (5, Biggleswade have 1), the second most goals conceded (48, Lowestoft have 49), and the joint second worst goal difference (-16, Biggleswade on -18).
  • Away from home this season, only Biggleswade and Sudbury (7) have picked up less points than Hitchin’s nine.
  • Their recent form is better than their actual league position – in tables of every side’s last five games and ten games, the Canaries are 14th.
  • Equally, their away form has improved slightly too – in a table of every side’s last five away games, they’re 15th.
  • Hitchin’s win against Barwell ended a run of six league games without a win (D2 L4). Their previous win before that was a 3-0 home win against Harborough on 16th November (the last time they kept a clean sheet before the Barwell victory too).
  • They are without a win in their last four away league matches (D2 L2), with their last victory on the road coming at Banbury (1-2, 2nd November).
  • Their only other away win of the season was a 4-0 success at Halesowen (21st September). This was their first league win of the season (after seven straight losses, eight in all competitions) and the only time they have kept a clean sheet away from home in the league (six away league games without one since). It is also the only time they have scored more than twice on the road in the league.
  • The wins against Banbury and Halesowen comprised a four match unbeaten run that Hitchin went on away from home earlier in the season.
  • However, they have got away goals in them – they have scored in eight of their ten away league games, including in their last seven. In the four away matches since the Banbury win, they have scored once in them all.
  • Forward Henry Snee has scored in three of their last five away league matches.
  • Hitchin exited both the FA Cup (Berkhamsted) and FA Trophy (Hashtag United) in their first games in both competitions this season.
