REMEMBERING MARK CRISP
- We will be remembering Bromsgrove Rovers legend Mark Crisp before the game, courtesy of a minutes applause.
- A number of Mark’s former Rovers teammates, along with Mark’s family, will walk onto the pitch before the game and stand around the centre circle, with the Sporting players on the day.
- Teammates of Kipper’s who will be in attendance include Mark Whitehouse, Stewart Brighton, Jim Skelding, Shaun O’Meara, Steve Taylor, Lee Young, Rob Shilvock, Steve Stott, Jerry Brosnan, Dougie Griffiths, Scott Cooksey, Paul Wardle, Kevin Banner, Reckey Carter, Steve Cooper, Scott Crane, Steve Frost, Alan Kurila, Alan Lloyd, Maurice O’Connell and Lee Young (Martyn O’Connor & John Gayle send their best wishes as they are unable to attend).
- Mark’s family, including his son Max, will then have their choice of Sporting Man of the Match at the end of the game.
- We will wearing our green kit, as a further mark of respect, paying homage to Mark’s iconic games in a Rovers shirt.
REMEMBRANCE COMMEMORATIONS
- With this fixture being our closest home game to Remembrance Sunday, we will be holding our Remembrance commemorations on this day.
- A minute’s silence will take place directly prior to the minute’s applause for Mark Crisp.
UNITY SPORT CLUB
- The Unity Sport Club U13 team, alongside coaches/owners Aaron Powell and Darren Hateley, will be joining us for a match day experience.
- This will involve them meeting the players before the game, looking at how they prepare beforehand and during the warm ups.
- Unity Sport Club offers a variety of sports programs for all ages and skill levels. From new learners, to more advanced children in football, they have something for everyone.
- Their programs are designed to promote physical activity, build teamwork skills, and foster a love of inclusive sports.
