Bromsgrove Sporting are sad to announce the departure of Luke Rowe, who leaves the club to join AFC Telford United.
The following is a message from Luke, to our fans…
Thank you for everything, Sporting
It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to seek an opportunity elsewhere, away from Bromsgrove.Â
When I first arrived at the club, there was a lot of uncertainty and unease. From different managers and chairmen, and having to survive at Step Three (whilst having to manage the team at three matches myself!), to the club now being settled, it’s time for me to move on and seek an opportunity which I simply can’t turn down.Â
From the very start, I have felt nothing but love from the players, staff, volunteers and, of course, the fanbase. The club is now standing on strong foundations due to Rod Brown becoming chairman and solidifying the club’s position. I can’t thank the chairman enough for his support towards me throughout my time at Sporting.Â
On a personal note, I have developed a lot as an individual during my spell at the club – from a football point of view and also as a person. I would like to give a massive thanks to the players over the past two years for allowing me to lead them on and off the field. I want to thank my teammates, who are such a strong group of footballers and even better people, led by a top manager who I’m sure will progress up the pyramid himself.Â
I want to thank the volunteers and the staff at the club for the hard work they carry out behind the scenes, which people don’t see – the club would not be able to function without their unnoticed work. I have made some life long friends at the club and want to thank them all. I would like to thank my sponsors, the Fox Family, for their sponsorship and support towards me personally!Â
I finally want to thank the fans for backing in leading this club and for their support, week in week out. The support has grown and grown since I first arrived and it’s good to see that Bromsgrove is getting the fanbase it is known for in non-league and I look forward to two weeks time and being on the other end of the environment you create on a matchday.
Thanks to every individual who has made it a memorable experience for myself and I would like to think I leave on good terms. I wish nothing but success for the club moving forward.Â
For now, goodbye and thank you again,
Rowey.
