MONTHLY AWARDS: Solademi & Tee celebrate successes

Prior to our game against Long Eaton United, defender David Solademi and attacker Conor Tee celebrated their awards for Player of the Month and Goal of the Month, respectively.

David, who won December Player of the Month with 57% of the vote after a Man of the Match performance against Leiston and solid displays against Stamford and Stourbridge, collected his award from our Director of Football, Graham Scott.

The centre back, who is sponsored for the season by Joseph Michael Shutters & Blinds, commented: “I’m thrilled to hear that I have been named Player of the Month for December.

“I am blessed to be apart of this amazing club, playing alongside some very talented players and I appreciate the gaffer for constantly putting his faith in me and giving me the opportunity to express myself on the pitch.

“Finally, I would like to thank everyone who has voted for me, as your support does not go amiss, and would also like to thank all the fans for their continued encouragement throughout this eventful season thus far.”

Conor, who won December’s Goal of the Month with 67% of the vote for his first minute cracker in our 2-2 draw with Stamford, marked the occasion with our Head Coach Craig Nicholls, whose Total Football Coaching sponsored the award.

The playmaker, who is sponsored for the season by UIS – Utility Innovation Services Ltd, talked about his goal: “I received the ball off Rowey (Luke Rowe), I’ve took a touch out of my feet and I know I have the ability to score from that range so I saw there was no pressure on, put my head down and found the top corner luckily.”

“I appreciate all the fans voting for me, it’s nice to win Goal of the Month and hopefully there’ll be plenty more to come,” he added.

January’s Goal of the Month award will be sponsored by the 178 Comedy Club.

Our congratulations go to both David and Conor – well done both!
