Bromsgrove Sporting are thoroughly delighted to announce that Conor Tee has committed himself to the club until the end of the season.
This comes after interest from both Telford United and Redditch United, in the form of seven day approaches, as well as National League North side Southport earlier in the season.
Commenting on this positive news, manager Mike McGrath said: “When negotiating with Conor in the summer, we talked about why having a solid season at Sporting would benefit his career. He came in for pre season the fittest in the group and he has had an amazing first half to the season.
“A player of Conor’s ability will always have interest and be tempted away by other clubs, especially when performing as he has been.
“I’m delighted, after more talks, that he has decided to commit himself to us until the end of the season. We have a really good relationship and he is not only a top player, but a top person also.
“I have no doubt Conor will go on to do big things in the game; now my challenge to him is can he keep improving and have an even better second half of the season? We are lucky to have him and I’d urge the fans to enjoy him while he is here.”
Chairman Rod Brown said: “There have been some rumours circulating regarding Conor Tee and the possibility of him leaving to go to Telford and we have had seven day approaches from Telford and Redditch in the last four or five days.
“Obviously he’s a key component of our side at the present time and the fight that we’ve got to stay in the league and we don’t really want to, in any way, lose our better players.
“Conor leaving us now would be a big blow for the club so, we’re pleased to announce that, having spoken to him at length, he has decided to stay for the duration of this season to help the club to maintain its Step Three position.
“We’re really pleased and fair play to Conor himself. I’m pleased for Mike and the squad, as well as the fans.”
