Sporting Khalsa 4 (Asomugha 8', Henry 42' 71' & 78')
Bromsgrove Sporting 1 (King 82')

Bromsgrove Sporting suffered another disappointing pre-season friendly loss on Saturday afternoon, succumbing to a 4-1 defeat at Sporting Khalsa.

Stan Asomugha gave the home side an early lead before a hat-trick from former Rousler Prince Henry put the game beyond Sporting. A small crumb of joy for Bromsgrove came in the 82nd minute, courtesy of a headed goal from Reece King.

The deadlock was broken eight minutes in, as Asomugha's deflected shot from the edge of the area found the bottom corner.

Bromsgrove's Billy Shaw played in Kobe Hall a couple of times midway through the half, but both of his efforts were kept out by the Khalsa keeper.

29 minutes in, Sporting stopper Adam Harrison had to be alert to outstandingly tip over a free header from Henry.

The second goal came three minutes before the half time whistle, as Henry netted his first of the afternoon.

Sporting had a brilliant opportunity to halve the deficit in the 54th minute, as Nick Clayton-Phillips unleashed a cracking volley that was brilliantly tipped over.

Henry scored his second in the 71st minute, as his effort went in via the post, before he completed his hat-trick seven minutes later.

Sporting's goal came eight minutes from time, as a Clayton-Phillips corner was met by the head of King, who found the bottom corner.

A Bromsgrove trialist had a couple of late chances to reduce the arrears, but both of his opportunities from decent positions were saved.
