Rushall Olympic 4 (Mitchell 1' & 55', Reid 29' & 72')
Bromsgrove Sporting 1 (Brown 76')
Braces apiece from Reece Mitchell and Rackeem Reid saw Rushall Olympic saunter to a 4-1 victory over Bromsgrove Sporting at Dales Lane.
Mitchell finished off a good move to put the home side one up after just a minute, with Reid doubling the lead in the 29th minute via knocking into an empty net.
Ten minutes into the second half it was three, as Mitchell powered home. Reid made it four with a well taken effort before Demetri Brown scored a consolation for Sporting with 14 minutes remaining.
It was the worst possible start for a sleepy Bromsgrove, as Mitchell capped a quick Rushall move forward by slotting the ball neatly into the net from inside the box.
Jourdain Masidi and Josh Dugmore had chances for the visitors but the Pics notched up their second just shy of the half hour mark, as the lively Reid completed a quick counter by taking it around keeper Akos Onodi and into an empty goal.
Rushall had two opportunities to make it three in the final moments of the first half; firstly, Danny Glover, with the goal at his mercy, hit the crossbar after capitalising on a defensive mistake. A minute later, Callum Coyle went on a superb run into the box before having an effort saved by Onodi.
Seven minutes into the second half, Tyler Little struck a free kick against the upright. But Rushall would only have to wait three minutes later for their third, as Mitchell, who was free in the box, had a shot on goal that Onodi got his hands to but was unable to keep it out.
Sporting substitute Zac Guinan looked useful after coming on, having a couple of efforts well saved by Tom Palmer.
Reid scored his fourth with 18 minutes left, as he put himself through on goal before slotting in well.
Brown scored four minutes later - a Miro Pais ball into the box caused a lot of trouble in the area, resulting in the Sporting striker being able to hammer home into the net.
The home side had a flurry of chances late on, but were unable to add to their evening's goal haul.
