Sporting's wafer-thin bid to win the league was effectively blown away in the last minute of normal time. Josh Westwood gave The Rouslers the lead with a low-angled shot on the 30th minute but despite pressuring the Warwick defence they failed to add to the score-line although Luke Dugmore came close just before half-time.
After the break, The Racers upped the tempo in an attempt to get the equaliser in what became an increasing tetchy affair. Their persistence finally paying off in the 90th minute with Ashley English getting the vital goal. Tempers though failed to cool with Chris Hayden picking up second yellow card for the home team after the final whistle.
So disappointment for Sporting who now look to be heading for the runners-up spot for the third year in succession. One loyal fan summed things up nicely saying "I am disappointed, not for me but for the lads on the pitch who have given it their all this season and deserve more".
