Bromsgrove Sporting will travel back to Worcestershire wondering how they failed to gain at least a share of the points at Townsend Meadows.
The visitors had plenty of great chances go begging and in addition to some wayward finishing they were deprived by some excellent saves from Warwick goalkeeper Kevin Tobin.
After Chris Morrison has just failed to connect with a Dan Wilkes' header on 8 minutes at the far post it was Racing Club who took the lead on 12 minutes ; Sporting failing to play to the whistle of referee Brown who over-ruled his assistants flag for a free kick allowing Edward Kostuck to turn and place a low shot past Chris Mole from the edge of the area.
The home team should have extended their lead midway through the half when Josh Blake dragged a show wide when he was unmarked with only Mo;e to beat 15 yards out.
Sporting equalized 5 minutes before the interval when Joe Brookes converted from the penalty spot after Jon Rogers had been brought down in the area by Luke Wilson.
On 49 minutes the home team were in front again, poor marking allowing Nathan Edginton a free header from Paul Wilkinson's cross that appeared to go through Mole in the Sporting goal.
The majority of the remainder of the half was played with Sporting on the attack. They rarely forced a clear cut opportunity though and even when they did they found MoM Tobin in match winning form, the pick of his saves being a one handed push away from a Chris Conway header. Even when Tobin was beaten by an Aaron Roberts shot in injury the ball hit defender Stuart Hierley on the foot and was cleared.
