Following a draw on Saturday, Thomas Baillie's Sporting travelled to bottom of the league Hednesford Town. Another strong side for Sporting with Sweeney and Taylor up front and the return of Ammar Dyer.
A surprising start to the game saw Hednesford open the scoring after Sporting controlled the opening 15 minutes. Sweeney and Taylors efforts were close to equalising however Hednesfords defence stood strong. Miro Pais broke through before half time he beat his man and chipped the ball over the keeper.
Just after the second half kicked off, Ryan Edmunds' goal gave Sporting the lead. Since coming to Sporting, Edmunds has been a great attacking threat for the side and continues to show why he is a staple in Baillie's team. Though the attacking football continued, 6 minutes later Hednesford levelled things up leaving Sporting to re-group and go again. No surprise, when called upon he answers .. Mikey Taylor scored just before the 70th minute giving Bromsgrove the lead, however as soon as he scored he was taken off due to a pull he felt when scoring.
In the 86th minute Birch slid in on Miro Pais knocking the midfielder who looked in pain, the ref sent birch off for this challenge. Though Pais got up he was forced off shortly after and Sporting played with 10 men as all 3 subs were used. Another blow for Hednesford as Bennett was sent off after receiving a second yellow for a foul on King-Harmes.
Hednesford now are on a run of 6 losses, with Sporting picking up a well deserved 3 points
