Droitwich Spa 1 (Moss 71')
Bromsgrove Sporting 3 (Robinson 12', Cook 86', Leachman-Whittigham 90+2')
Bromsgrove Sporting kickstarted October with a 3-1 victory over neighbours Droitwich Spa in the Worcestershire Senior Cup.
Sporting led at the interval thanks to Theo Robinson's 12th minute goal, but an improved second half display from the Saltmen saw Perry Moss equalise with 19 minutes remaining.
The Rouslers' place in the next round was assured with late goals from Kieran Cook and substitute Shaquille Leachman-Whittingham.
The 9th minute saw Bromsgrove's Zac Powell find Cook, who's shot was palmed wide for a corner. Three minutes later, the opener came, as a Dylan Thomas strike fell nicely into the path of Robinson, who slotted home neatly from inside the area.
Further chances came the way of Sporting shortly after, as Robinson had a header cleared off the line before Aaron Roberts had a shot from distance saved. The 23rd minute saw Powell lay off Ryan Snape, who saw his shot deflected wide for a corner.
The home side enjoyed chances towards the end of the half, as Jack Brighton had a shot blocked before he saw an effort of his well saved by Sporting Under-21s' stopper Charlie McNamara, from which Charlie Tilley went on to hit the crossbar.
Droitwich's Josh Hurdman had a couple of opportunities early in the second half, including a free kick that was well kept out by McNamara.
The leveller came via a ball into the box that was eventually converted at the back post by a sliding Moss.
The Droitwich goalscorer almost doubled his tally eight minutes later, but he narrowly curled a strike over the bar from a promising position.
Sporting's fears of enduring another upset in this competition were put to bed inside the final moments of the match; firstly, Cook headed home a Callum King-Harmes cross with aplomb in the 86th minute before Leachman-Whittignham netted his second Bromsgrove goal in as many games in added time - his initial effort was saved, King-Harmes then struck the post with a shot before the ball finally found its way into the goal.
