Bromsgrove Sporting 1 (Palmer 80')
Stratford Town 3 (Worley 5', Brennan 13', Lafferty 45+1')
A blistering first half performance from Stratford Town helped guide them to a comfortable 3-1 win over Bromsgrove Sporting.
Goals from Alex Worley and Finley Brennan inside the first 15 minutes were followed by a Daniel Lafferty strike in the final moments of the half. Shay Palmer netted Bromsgrove's goal in the 80th minute, which was his second goal in as many games.
The Rouslers were left shell shocked early on, as a long range cracker from Worley in the fifth minute was followed by Brennan slotting home a simple tap in eight minutes later.
Sporting had chances mid-way through the half via a Jamie Meddows corner that hit the post and a Kieran Cook effort that drew a decent save from Callum Smith. However, it was the visitors who enjoyed the better of the play as the whistle for the interval drew nearer. The lively Owen James and Lafferty both had shots saved by Charlie Price, with the third goal eventually coming in the first minute of added time, as Lafferty steered a short cross into the goal.
Meddows had a shot saved 10 minutes into the second half whilst former Rousler Callum Ebanks stuck a header over the bar soon after.
Sporting captain Luke Rowe struck the ball wide from around 20 yards in the 73rd minute, but he would be involved in the goal seven minutes later, as a corner of his was headed home by Palmer.
This was the last meaningful chance of the game for either team, with the Bards going on to bag a richly deserved win.
