Bromsgrove Sporting 4 (Shaw 1', Clayton-Phillips 19', White 24', Benbow 29')
Solihull Moors 1 (Footes 56')

Bromsgrove Sporting recorded their first home win of pre-season on Tuesday evening, courtesy of a 4-1 win over Solihull Moors.

The Moors side, captained by the experienced Bradley Stevenson and featuring a familiar face to Sporting fans - last season's loanee Fin Holmes, were blown away by the Rouslers in the first half, as goals from Billy Shaw, Nick Clayton-Phillips, Aksum White and Luke Benbow gave the home side a four goal advantage at the break.

Charlie Footes pulled one back for Solihull in the second half, but it was a mere consolation, as Bromsgrove recorded a confidence boosting win.

The deadlock was broken after just 41 seconds, as Shaw headed home a Clayton-Phillips corner.

Clayton-Phillips had a shot saved by the feet of Moors' trialist goalkeeper three minutes later; his goal came in the 19th minute, as he got onto the end of a long ball, moved into the area and found the net with an accurate drive.

Benbow had a 23rd minute strike from range well saved by the goalkeeper and he would be involved with the third goal, as his exquisite assist for White allowed the Sporting right back to confidently knock the ball home one minute later.

The 29th minute saw Benbow get on the scoresheet himself - Shaw found the Sporting striker with a pass, allowing him to take a shot that looped over the keeper and found the net in style.

Further chances came the way of Sporting, as Jack Kelly had a header fingertipped wide before Shaw had two opportunities in quick succession, the first going over and the second saved by the keeper's feet.

Solihull's best chance of the half came in the final moments, as Holmes' ball into the box was scuffed wide by Footes.

Footes would score in the 56th minute, as he got onto the end of a brilliant ball into the area and poked the ball in.

Sporting's best chance of the half came in the 81st minute, as Benbow whipped an effort towards goal that left the keeper stranded but could only find the post
