Bromsgrove Sporting 2 (Sanderson 15', Benbow 85')
Leiston 1 (Jackson 48')
Bromsgrove Sporting made it four home matches unbeaten with a hard fought victory over an in form Leiston side.
The visitors were seven league games unbeaten beforehand, but it was the Rouslers who ran out victorious, with goals from James Sanderson and Luke Benbow guiding Sporting to an important three points. Eddie Jackson's goal for Leiston was an equaliser just three minutes after half time.
The 14th minute saw Bromsgrove's Josh Ezewele have a strike brilliantly saved by Leiston keeper Billy Johnson before Brad Stretton put the rebound over the bar.
The deadlock was broken a minute later, as Stretton found Sanderson in the area, which allowed the Notts County-loanee to fire home a deflected effort.
Leiston equalised in the 48th minute, as Jackson's shot made its way through a number of bodies before finding the goal.
The lively Billy Shaw put a left footed strike narrowly wide with 13 minutes of normal time remaining; moments later, Bromsgrove's Ash Carter made an outstanding block to keep Joao Rangel's powerful effort away from the goal.
The winner was scored in the 85th minute, as Benbow bagged with a looping header after Leiston failed to clear their lines in the pouring rain.
Shaw had an opportunity to double the lead in additional time, but his one-on-one effort was hit straight at keeper Johnson.
