Barwell 0
Bromsgrove Sporting 2 (Softley 34', Pavey 76')
Bromsgrove Sporting made it back to back wins for the first time this season, as they recorded a relatively routine 2-0 win at Barwell.
Both Luke Softley and Charlie Pavey netted their first Sporting goals, launching Sporting out of relegation zone in the process.
The home side had the first big chance of the game, as Tyrell Waite saw a one-on-one shot with Adam Harrison saved by the feet of the Sporting keeper in the 13th minute.
The 20th minute saw Sporting captain Reece King put a cracking Josh Ezewele cross wide with a diving header.
It took 34 minutes for the opener to be scored, as a Billy Shaw cross was accurately headed into the bottom corner by defender Softley.
Further big chances went the way of Sporting towards the end of the first half; Pavey had a fierce shot from inside the area saved well by Barwell stopper Finn Osborn after being set up nicely by Gus Sanches.
Shortly after, Shaw struck the ball into the net, but it was ruled out after the referee awarded Barwell a free kick for a foul in the build up.
Sporting had more opportunities early in the second half, with Pavey setting up Sanches to shoot inside the box - his effort was saved, before Tom Edge hit the ball over the bar.
Barwell's Prince Mancinelli had a strike from close range well blocked by Ash Carter in the 64th minute. 12 minutes later, the lead was doubled, as a long Aaron Roberts ball was knocked on by King to Pavey, who confidently found the net with a cool finish.
Softley almost got on the scoresheet again in the 80th minute, with his header from a Shaw corner going narrowly wide.
It wouldn't matter though, as the Rouslers would go on to notch up a confidence boosting third win of the season.
