AFC Telford United 2 (Armson 45', Hilton 90+6')
Bromsgrove Sporting 1 (Crook 27')
A goal from substitute Rhys Hilton in the sixth minute of second half additional time guided AFC Telford United to victory over Bromsgrove Sporting on Tuesday night.
The Rouslers took the lead in the 27th minute through lively winger Harry Crook before Jimmy Armson levelled proceedings just before half time.
Bromsgrove had several big chances to retake the lead after the interval but were dealt a sucker punch when Hilton found the net with a left footed strike at the death.
Telford had a couple of early chances, as Byron Moore had a volley from inside the box brilliantly saved by Sporting stopper Charlie Price and Jordan Piggott scuffed a shot wide after the ball came to him via a corner.
The move for the opener started with a surging Shay Palmer run from defence. He found Kieran Cook, who's perfectly timed pass to Crook allowed him to score his first goal for the club with a confidently struck left footed effort.
The 36th minute saw Price called into action once again; this time to make an outstanding save from a Piggott shot in a one-on-one scenario.
The leveller came in the 45th minute, as Armson stylishly struck home a Ellis Myles-Tebbutt cross into the bottom corner.
Armson almost doubled his tally for the evening 10 minutes into the second half, but Price was equal to his shot with yet another top drawer save.
Sporting enjoyed a spell of decent chances afterwards; Telford keeper Brandon Hall tipped over a Crook strike from an acute angle on the hour mark before he was forced to produce a fine save from a thunderous Jamie Meddows drive just 60 seconds later.
The 70th minute saw Hall divert a Kieran Cook shot from the edge of the area wide; 13 minute later, the Sporting attacker had another golden opportunity, but he missed the target from inside the area after being set up by skipper Luke Rowe.
Up the other end, Price had to be alert inside the final five minutes of normal time to save a Ricardo Dinanga strike and a deflected Remi Walker free kick.
Just as though it looked as the points were set to be shared, Hilton made space for himself on the edge of the area before neatly curling the ball into the goal in the 96th minute.
An exciting game of football, in which both teams arguably deserved to take something away from it - unfortunately for Bromsgrove, it was they who succumbed to the agonising late winner.
