Bromsgrove Sporting vs Welwyn Garden City

Sporting won the Third Round Qualifying game 1-0, thanks to a 50th minute screamer from Jack Newell. Watch the goal below!

KIERAN DUNBAR and CALLUM TAYLOR

The game was somewhat marred by horrible injuries to Sporting’s Kieran Dunbar and Welwyn’s Callum Taylor in the 4th minute.

After a 23 minute stoppage in play, play restarted.

Kieran sadly fractured his tibia. He tweeted this morning that his surgery had been a success and his recovery has already started. He also thanked players and staff for their help on Saturday.

Welwyn Garden City tweeted after the game that Callum had not broken anything and that is was a muscle injury. They also thanked everyone at Sporting for the care and attention given to Callum.

We wish both all the best in their respective recoveries and we will give Kieran all the support he needs.

GRIMSBY TOWN AT HOME

In the Fourth Round Qualifying (one round off the First Round proper) we have been drawn at home to current National League leaders, Grimsby Town.

This tie will be played on Saturday 16th October.

Further match details, including ticket information, will be released in due course.
