Ahead of Saturday’s Pitching In Southern League Premier Central match, at home to Barwell (3:00 KO), manager Gavin Hurren has previewed the fixture.
“Firstly, I want to send my well wishes to some people at the club. I wish a speedy recovery to both Dave Stephens (Football Secretary) and Jeff Rea (Club President) who have both recently caught COVID-19.
“My best also goes to Graham Scott, who of course I shared the dugout with during my interim spell. In case you didn’t know, he has been in hospital, but is out now and on the road to recovery.
“In regards to tonight’s fans forum, I look forward to meeting everyone and discussing all things Bromsgrove Sporting!
“I have added to my back room staff, in the form of assistant manager Gary Birch and we also welcome back Adam Marusiak as goalkeeping coach. You would have seen him on our bench on Saturday – he brings a wealth of experience with him and I am delighted to have him on board and back at the club.
“Looking back at the Morpeth game – I think it was a very solid organised performance and it was another clean sheet. I am immensely proud of how the boys performed, but unfortunately we went out on penalties. We have to quickly forget about this, as we have a lot of games coming thick and fast!
“The first of these is Barwell tomorrow – a well organised outfit who enjoyed a good success in midweek against Stratford Town. I said in my last interview that there are no easy games at this level and this one is no different – we will have to be at the top of our game.
“Thank you again to all the fans and everyone associated with the club for your fantastic support – I hope that can continue tomorrow!
“I sincerely hope we are embarking on a new, exciting era, with us all moving in a positive direction!”
