CLUB NEWS: Hurren adds to coaching staff

Manager Gavin Hurren has announced the addition of Gary Birch as assistant manager.

In his playing days, the striker had fruitful spells with Walsall, Kidderminster Harriers, Lincoln City, Chasetown and Solihull Moors.

As a coach, he has teamed up with Gavin in previous spells at Hednesford Town and Walsall Wood, where the pair enjoyed plenty of success.

Gavin commented: “I am over moon to get Gary in as my assistant. We have been friends for many years – from our playing days and then working together within management.

“Birchy is a true professional and is perfect for what I and Bromsgrove need in helping to move the club forward in this new era. Birchy and I carry the same core values and I know the lads will love working with him. Welcome Birchy!”

Gary commented: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Bromsgrove Sporting as assistant manager and linking up with my long time friend Gavin Hurren.

“It’s an exciting opportunity for us both at such a great non league club. I cannot wait to get started and meet all the players and staff at training tonight, when the hard work begins.”

Gavin will be making further additions to his coaching staff in the coming days.

We hope you will join us in welcoming Gary to the Victoria Ground!
