COACHES’ CORNER: Bren Kelly previews Loughborough FA Cup tie

Ahead of Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup First Round Qualifying match, at home to Loughborough Students, manager Bren Kelly has previewed the fixture.

“It’s FA Cup action this week, as we take a break from the league campaign. Loughborough Students are the opposition, of whom we hold fond memories of.

“For it was their ground in which we secured the MFL Premier Division title a few years back – obviously a lot has happened at both clubs since then.

“Some non league clubs survive on the prize money from progressing in this great competition and I know we will definitely be looking to progress.

“The squad has a few injury doubts, namely Liam Spink (groin), Connor Taylor (knee), and Jack Wilson (hamstring). Otherwise, the lads are eager to perform and get the win.

“With no Premier League or Championship games on this weekend, hopefully you will all come and enjoy the atmosphere and great hospitality at the VG!”
