COACHES’ CORNER: Bren Kelly previews Evesham United

Ahead of Monday night’s Worcestershire Senior Cup semi final at Evesham United (7:45 KO), manager Bren Kelly has previewed the fixture, looking at the importance of the hunt for silverware.

“Tomorrow, we travel to Evesham for the semi final of the Worcestershire Senior Cup.

“In the minds of the players, they will be buzzing from the Banbury win and, although the bodies may be weary, we definitely want to progress to the final.

“I believe we have only ever played Evesham in friendlies, so we are definitely looking forward to it. It’s a very nice ground, with a good playing surface.

“A place in a final is at stake and I certainly want to make it to the final. It’s an opportunity for silverware and to give our brilliant fans something to look forward to.

“The Banbury game felt like we was at home – the support was amazing, so thank you one and all.

“A few of the lads are a slight doubt with injuries, but whatever team we put out, we will be expected to perform and win.”
