CLUB NEWS: Knights Joins as Assistant Manager

Bromsgrove Sporting are delighted to announce that the vastly experienced Darryl Knights will be joining Scott Adey-Linforth’s management team, as assistant manager.

36 year-old Knights enjoyed a successful playing career, as an attacker at the likes of Kidderminster Harriers, Newport County, Solihull Moors, Tamworth, AFC Telford United and Stourbridge.

It was at the Glassboys where Darryl cut his managerial teeth, managing the First Team towards the end of last season where he chalked up some impressive results. He has also enjoyed plenty of success running the club’s academy team and has worked with Scott at Stourbridge previously.

On Darryl joining Sporting, manager Scott Adey-Linforth comments: “Darryl was the first phone call I made when I was looking for people to join me here at Bromsgrove and I was buzzing when he agreed.

“Having worked closely with Darryl previously, I know he’s an exceptional coach who shares similar passions and beliefs to my own.

“After a top playing career, he brings excellent knowledge and experience to the team. Darryl will play a huge part in helping me coach and develop the squad of players we have.”

On becoming part of Bromsgrove’s management team, Darryl comments: “I’m really excited to be joining such a big and well supported club. I’m really looking forward to working with Scotty and the group to start to push us up the table.

“I have been a player and a spectator at Bromsgrove’s brilliant ground – when it’s full and rocking, it’s an unbelievable atmosphere.

“It’s up to us, staff and players as a collective, to create that atmosphere again by playing exciting, winning football.”

We hope you will join us in welcoming Darryl to Sporting!
