Behind The Mics

On Wednesday 12th July, the Rouslers Bar was privileged to host an evening organised by the Bromsgrove literary group WORDS featuring Pat Murphy, Jim Rosenthal and Ashley Giles.

Pat will be well-known as one the BBC’s leading sports journalists particularly on Saturday’s Sports Report. Jim Rosenthal is also a familiar face having been the face of ITV sport for a number of years. Ashley Giles is now the CEO of Worcestershire County Cricket Club having played a number of Tests, ODIs and matches for Warwickshire.

For two hours the trio kept an audience of 100 entertained with a series of anecdotes and opinions on virtually every sport including football, boxing, hockey, snooker, rugby and in particular cricket.

The evening was hosted by Nick Taylor the chairman of Bromsgrove WORDS who regularly organise events for the written and spoken word.

The photos show the guests along with Sporting fans and volunteers who were amongst the attendees.
