MATCH MASCOTS
Tardebigge Albion are a brand new football club based at the old Hewell Cricket Club in Tardebigge.
A spokesperson commented: “We took it over at the start of the summer with it being abandoned for nearly four years. We moved our three U9 teams from Redditch United into our new home and, over the summer, we have worked hard to build the club and now have 10 teams ready for the 2026/27 season.
“Our club is based around the community. We have a CIC that will be working in Bromsgrove and Redditch to provide free access to sports and education sessions, working closely with councils, organisations and companies to make sure our young people get the best start in life.
“We thank Bromsgrove for allowing us to be a part of the game today and wish you all the best for the season!”

OPPOSITION
- 2025/26 league position: 13th (Southern League Premier Central)
- Current league position: 2nd (P6 W6)
- They are one of two sides to have a perfect 100% record from their opening six league games – the other being Real Bedford (in addition, Real Bedford’s 0-1 defeat at home to Biggleswade FC in the First Round of the Bedfordshire County Cup on Tuesday means that Bury Town are the only Southern League Premier Central side who have a 100% record in all competitions thus far this season)
- Most recent league game: 4-3 home win vs Leiston (31st August)
- Most recent away league game: 2-3 win at Leighton Town (29th August)
- Bury have scored 15 goals in the league this season, and have a goal difference of +9; only Real Bedford have a better record across both areas (20 goals, +14)
- After scoring one goal in each of their opening two games, they’ve subsequently scored 3, 3, 3 and 4 in their next four games.
- They took this brilliant form into their opening FA Cup game, as they won 2-4 at Step Four London Lions last weekend.
- After only conceding one goal in their opening four matches, they conceded seven in their last three matches (including the aforementioned FA Cup win).
- Away from home in the league, they are one of only three teams with a 100% record (alongside Sporting and Real Bedford). Bury and Bedford are top of the away scoring charts, with seven goals from three games.
- Ollie Canfer is Bury’s top goalscorer in the league this season, with four goals. A word should also go to centre back Tommy Smith, who scored a hat-trick in the 4-3 win over Leiston, which included an 94th minute winner. They signed him from Braintree Town in the off season, having also made New Zealand’s World Cup squad in the summer.
