Today marks the beginning of a bold new era for Bromsgrove Sporting Football Club.
Football clubs are built on history, identity and community but they must also evolve. As Bromsgrove Sporting continues to grow on and off the pitch, we believe the time is right to introduce a modernised club badge that reflects not only where we have come from, but where we are going.
This is more than a design change. It is a statement of ambition.
Our new identity has been created to represent the future of Bromsgrove Sporting: progressive, commercial, recognisable and built to stand proudly alongside the next generation of football brands.
The new crest takes inspiration directly from the history and character of the town itself. Most notably, the typography has been influenced by the iconic Bromsgrove welcome signage creating a visual connection between the football club and the place we call home. It was important to us that the new identity felt authentically Bromsgrove, not generic or disconnected from our roots.
While the design has been modernised, the values behind the badge remain unchanged.
Passion. Community. Pride.
This transformation allows the club to move forward with a cleaner, stronger and more versatile identity across every platform from apparel and merchandise to digital media, sponsorship opportunities and stadium branding. In modern football, a crest must work everywhere: online, in print, on social media and in the wider commercial world. Our new identity has been designed with that future in mind.
As the club continues to grow commercially, attracting new supporters, partners and opportunities is essential. A modern brand helps us compete in a rapidly evolving football landscape while creating greater value for our sponsors, supporters and the wider community.
Most importantly, this evolution is about creating something future generations of fans can be proud of.
A crest is more than a logo. It is a symbol people wear on their chest, carry across the country and pass down through families. We wanted to create an identity that respects our heritage while giving Bromsgrove Sporting a platform for the future.
This is not about leaving history behind.
It is about building on it.
A New Crest.
A New Chapter.
One Bromsgrove Sporting.
A Word from the Head of Design, Ryan Killeen.
“It’s never been lost on me just how important the Bromsgrove Sporting badge is, what it represents to the fans, the town, and the wider local community. From the very beginning, I fully understood the gravity of the responsibility I was taking on.
I left no stone unturned throughout the research and development process because I wanted to create something with real meaning, identity, and a strong connection to Bromsgrove itself. I drew deep inspiration from the town’s Tudor architecture and church spires, which heavily influenced the angles, structure, and overall character of the design.
I feel incredibly proud and honoured to present this to the fans, and I truly hope it’s something the community can connect with, stand behind, and wear with pride for years to come.”
Also a special thank you to Bromsgrove band Split Second for supplying the backing track to the reveal video. This is “Yellow Brick Road,” out May 29. Catch them live this August on the main stage at Lakefest and Bromsgrove’s own, OrchardFest.
