Bromsgrove Sporting are delighted to announce a showcase event for our Football & Education Programme, in partnership with Colmers School & Sixth Form College.
This programme is aimed at current Year 11 students who are passionate about football and wish to develop their skills and knowledge of the game alongside their studies.
Our programme is inclusive to males and females, from beginners to experienced players. We welcome all students into our programme with a key focus on enjoyment and development. Prospective students will have the opportunity to train twice a week with our UEFA B qualified coach and compete in fixtures on a Wednesday afternoon.
Where our programme is unique is that students will have the opportunity to either enrol onto the Sports Pathway (BTEC Level 3) or a combination of A-Levels in whichever subject of their choosing (Art & Design, Psychology, English Literature, Chemistry plus many more).
New for 2026/27 we have also planned a football camp in Spain where students will train and develop with a professional football club, further developing students’ talent, and learning from different cultures and styles of play. This is something which the programme will run annually to aid and develop players experiences within football.
Our first taster session will be: on Thursday 29th October from 10am – 12 noon, and will be delivered by our UEFA B coach, and former Aston Villa coach Jordan Lyden. During this session students will have the opportunity to train on the pitch at the historical UK Electrical Stadium, which was built in 1910 and has a capacity of around 3500 people.
This taster day will give students the opportunity to meet our football coach, and prospective teammates for the 2027/28 season, whilst also uncovering more information about the course options on offer within our Football and Education pathway.
