Before Saturday’s win over Leiston, attacker Charlie Pavey marked winning Player of the Month for October!
Charlie’s sponsor is New Jersey-based Tim Reeb – in the absence of Tim, Charlie celebrated the occasion with manager Scott Adey-Linforth (pictured above).
Charlie won October Player of the Month with 42% of the vote, seeing off fierce competition from Ash Carter, Luke Softley and Billy Shaw.
A goal against Bury Town and top performances against Barwell and Stamford were undoubtedly factors in the Aston Villa-loanee winning the award.

Unfortunately, Charlie faces a spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury with Aston Villa. However, he reflected on winning the award, saying: “It means a lot for me personally. Some results recently haven’t been the best but we had a good run of results before that and Saturday’s win was great too. I’ve been here for two months and it’s great to win Player of the Month in the second one.
“I came here hoping to help the team by getting goals and assists for the team and now we’re moving up the table, which is obviously positive for everybody.”
A thoroughly deserved award for Charlie, in what has been a superb start to the season!
