Bromsgrove Sporting 2 (Meddows 34', Holmes 82')
Stourbridge 0 (Bradley missed penalty 90+1')

Bromsgrove Sporting made it three wins in a row with a home victory over local rivals Stourbridge.

Goals from Jamie Meddows and Fin Holmes ensured the Rouslers would make it back to back Boxing Day wins against the Glassboys.

The visitors had early chances, but both Alex Worley and Ethan McLeod put their respective efforts well over the bar.

Bromsgrove's Reece King also missed the target, with a strike in the 31st minute. The opener came three minutes later, via a beautifully curled, left footed Meddows shot finding the bottom corner from the edge of the area.

Sporting had further opportunities later in the half, as Carter Lycett had a left footed attempt of his own tipped over by Stourbridge stopper Callum Smith before King had a deflected effort saved from close range.

Lycett had another chance to score in the 58th minute, but his header from a Theo Robinson cross was kept out by Smith.

Fifteen minutes later, Stourbridge's Jordaan Brown headed narrowly wide from a free kick.

The lead was doubled with eight minutes of normal time remaining. Holmes was played in and soon found himself in a one on one position - what followed was a coolly struck effort that neatly found the goal.

Moments later, Holmes set up Luke Rowe, but his shot from a promising position was hit straight at Smith.

The away side had a chance to halve the deficit in the first minute of additional time, after former Rousler Miro Pais was brought down in the area - Alex Bradley stepped up to take it, but it was saved well by Charlie Price, who departed Amblecote in the summer.

The Christmas stuffing was truly knocked out of Stourbridge thereafter, as Bromsgrove would go on to see the game out for another well deserved win.
