Bromsgrove Sporting 6 (Hayward 4' & 81', Ebbutt 38' & 58', Kettle 32', Shorrock 84') Worksop Town 0
Bromsgrove Sporting ran riot on Saturday afternoon, smashing six past Worksop Town in a comprehensive win.
Nathan Hayward opened the scoring after four minutes, courtesy of a simple tap in after some haphazard Worksop defending.
Joel Kettle doubled the lead in the 32nd minute, as a sumptuous Cameron Ebbutt free kick was diverted in by the Sporting defender.
Ebbutt was soon on the scoresheet himself, as he executed a brilliant first touch before striking the ball into the bottom corner from 20 yards six minutes later.
The Bromsgrove winger notched his second in the 58th minute, as he capitalised on some more indifferent defending from the Tigers by pouncing on an attempted clearance and shooting home.
The goal of the game came nine minutes before time; a pinpoint Will Shorrock cross was acrobatically volleyed in by Hayward, who was also bagging his brace.
The demolition job was complete in the 84th minute, as a Demetri Brown run forward was capped by Shorrock slotting in with ease.

Worksop Town crashed out of the FA Cup following a 6-0 defeat against Bromsgrove Sporting at the Victoria Ground.
Goals from Nathan Hayward, Joel Kettle and Cameron Ebbutt gave the hosts a comfortable half-time lead.
Hayward and Ebbutt completed their braces in the second period before Will Shorrock rounded off a demoralising afternoon for Worksop.
Sporting took an early lead as Hayward benefited from Jake Picton’s sliced clearance – which forced debutant Gary Stevens into a reaction save – to tap home at the back post.
Moments later, Cody Cromack went close to levelling as his volley from a headed clearance dipped over the bar from distance.
On 20 minutes, Aaron Sennett-Neilson jinked his way past several challenges and advanced towards the edge of the area, where his subsequent his shot was blocked by James Mace.
Stevens then kept the Rouslers at bay with a superb save on the half-hour mark.
Hayward put Jourdain Masidi through on goal with a clever pass but the forward’s shot across goal was saved by the feet of Stevens.
However, Sporting added a second a minute later through Kettle, who stabbed home at the back post from a free-kick.
Bromsgrove then added a third before the break, with Ebbutt finding the bottom corner from 25 yards out.
The Tigers had the first chance of the second period.
A ball into the area was half-cleared by Josh Dugmore towards the penalty spot, where McDonnell rose highest but saw his looping header held by Ákos Onódi.
Bromsgrove put the cup tie to bed on the hour with a fourth.
Ebbutt picked up the ball from the left and ran across the edge of the area before rolling the ball onto a teammate. The ball eventually landed back at the winger’s feet, where he calmly placed his shot past Stevens.
A positive for the Tigers was that Worksop-born defender Luke Morris made his debut for the club on 72 minutes after being called up from the club’s Under-21s.
Morris was instantly called into action, providing an excellent cross into the centre which was sliced away from goal by Ben Tomlinson but into the path of Connor Smythe, whose snapshot was held by Onódi.
Moments later, Hayward almost got his hat-trick after Shorrock’s effort was deflected into his path. But the midfielder’s shot was bravely headed off the line by Morris.
The home side would continue to punish the Tigers, netting a further two goals to advance into the third qualifying round of the FA Cup.
Firstly, with nine minutes remaining, Hayward bagged his brace with a spectacular bicycle kick before Will Shorrock scored on the counterattack just two minutes later.
Worksop next travel to Dunston UTS on Saturday 25 September in the FA Trophy First Qualifying Round.
