Tamworth 1 (Creaney 69')
Bromsgrove Sporting 0

Bromsgrove Sporting were made to pay for a plethora of missed opportunities, as they lost 1-0 to Tamworth.

In what was a carbon copy of last weekend's defeat to Nuneaton Borough, it was Dan Creaney's 69th minute goal that saw the Lambs bag all three points.

The game's first chance came in the seven minutes, as Sporting's Callum Ebanks worked well to get a shot away. This was hit straight at keeper Jas Singh though.

Bromsgrove continued to be the dominant force in the match. Moments after the Ebanks effort, Josh Quaynor had a shot blocked away before Will Shorrock blazed over from inside the box.

Jamie Molyneux had a decent opportunity in the 26th minute but struck straight at Singh. Two minutes later, the home side had their first opportunity, as James Hurst hit the side netting from an acute angle after getting through the defence.

Bromsgrove's biggest opportunities of the game came in the 51st minute. Ebanks showed strength to beat his man but could only strike the ball straight at Singh. The rebound then fell to Mitchel Candlin, who skied the rebound over the bar with most of the goal open to aim at.

Midway through the half, Sporting skipper Joel Kettle did well to bring the ball down but could not generate enough power in his effort to truly test Singh.

The game's only goal came with a little over 20 minutes remaining. A ball into the box was controlled by Creaney, who had a rather simple task of slotting home from inside the six yard box.

Bromsgrove huffed and puffed for the equaliser, with chances for Molyneux, Shorrock, and Kettle before Ebanks produced a cracking effort from over 20 yards out in the 85th minute that Singh did well to tip away, with the ball bouncing up quite sharply just in front of him.

However, these efforts would be in vain, as Sporting once again ultimately lacked that much coveted cutting edge in front of goal.
