PLAYER NEWS: Tom Taylor departs

Manager Bren Kelly has confirmed defender Tom Taylor has decided not to re-sign for the upcoming season.

Bren commented: “Obviously I’m devastated that Tommy won’t be re-signing but I understand the reasons for it.

“He has progressed in his day job and has more responsibilities at work now, which will make it difficult for him to commit to what is required at Step Three Football.

“Tommy was the best centre half in the division in my opinion and was an top player for us; extremely popular in the dressing room and around the club – a true class act.

“He will be very difficult to replace and has also become a good friend too.”

From everybody at Sporting, we thank you for your incredible efforts and wish you all the best Tom.
