Our final match of the season takes place on Saturday, as we face Real Bedford at home. It’s all set to be an action packed day, which has been outlined below…
THE GAME
- Firstly, the game itself. We will be looking to end the season on a high, after our amazing win at Stratford last time out. Our opponents Real Bedford are play-off bound, with their home semi final taking place next week.
HALF TIME EVENTS
- At half time, we are inviting sides from all areas of the Sporting family (Colts, Ladies, Ladies Development and Girls) to perform a lap of honour of the pitch, to celebrate their achievements this season.
END OF SEASON AWARDS
- In the Rousler Bar after the game, we will hold our end of season awards presentation. This will include Player of the Season, as voted for by our fans at the Halesowen game on Easter Monday.
- Players’ Player, Manager’s Player and Directors’ Player are just some of the other awards up for grabs!
- The Players’ Player award has been donated by Chris Hooper’s family and will be known as the Chris Hooper Memorial Shield. Gary, Claire and Alex, from Chris’s family, will be presenting the initial awarding of this trophy.
ASTON VILLA PRE-MATCH & FA CUP SEMI FINAL
- As well as our game, there are two other games to watch in our Rousler Bar on Saturday, so you can really make a day of it at Sporting!
- Firstly, Aston Villa’s game at Fulham (12:30 KO) will be shown on our screens before our match kicks off.
- As a SPECIAL OFFER, if you come before the second half of the Villa game begins, you can get your match ticket for just £10 from the bar!
- Then, the FA Cup semi final between Manchester City and Southampton (5:15 KO) will be shown during our end of season awards and afterwards.
DAY OF FUN
- The weather is set to be scintillating, a top playlist has been put together to ensure the tunes are banging and, after we secured our safety at Stratford, there’s plenty to celebrate – so come and join us for an afternoon of football and fun!
