TAYLOR’S 100: Ollie reflects on century

Saturday’s home match versus Berkhamsted saw our goalkeeper, Ollie Taylor, record his 100th appearance for the club.

The 24 year-old joined Sporting during the 2021/22 season, making his debut for the club towards the end of 2021.

He has since become a mainstay in the side and swiftly became a fans favourite with his impressive performances.

This season has been no exception, with his incredible showing in our New Year’s Day draw with AFC Telford United and a commanding display in our away win over Hitchin Town just two examples, in 2024 alone, of the keeper’s prowess.

On reaching this landmark, Ollie commented: “I’m very proud to have achieved this milestone with Bromsgrove Sporting.

“I’ve loved every minute and the support the fans have given me has been brilliant. Hopefully, there will be more highs to come and we can finish the season strongly. Up the Rouslers!”

Ollie’s next achievement in terms of appearances for the club will be his 102nd – this will make him the club’s all time record appearance holder for a goalkeeper, surpassing fellow club legend Jake Bedford on 101.

From everybody at Sporting – congratulations Ollie!
