On Saturday 7th September, representatives from Bromsgrove Sporting were delighted to be at the Blackwell Festival, an event at which the club was a main sponsor.
Simon Cadwallader and Vicky Onions, from the club’s commercial team, alongside our Schools and Community Ambassador Nirm Bassi, were on the Sporting stand, which featured a raffle with some excellent prizes!
The first prize was half of the money raised, whilst there were also runners up prizes of an adult season ticket and two junior season tickets.
Our Sporting trio had a brilliant time and were thrilled to be at the festival, as the club endeavours to increase its reach into community events such as these, with this following on from our presence at the Bromsgrove Carnival in July.
The winner of the cash prize at the Blackwell Festival raffle was Jon Ward, who very kindly gave his £300 prize back to the club.
Jon commented: “I always enjoy going to the Blackwell Festival. There’s good music, a great crowd, and I enjoy meeting up with old friends.
“Several friends were told about the Bromsgrove Sporting FC raffle that was being done at the festival, so we walked over to get some tickets to support a good cause
“I could not believe my luck when I received a call to say I had won the first prize. On my way over to pick up the prize money, I thought that the club could put the money to good use so, as it is a good cause, I donated my prize back to the club.”
We would like to thank Jon for his incredible generosity and we look forward to being at more community events like this in the future!
