SEPTEMBER PLAYER OF THE MONTH: Leon Broadhurst receives his award

Bromsgrove Sporting’s September Player of the Month, as voted for by the fans, Leon Broadhurst, received his award, sponsored by Ace Embroidery, before our Pitching In Southern League Premier Central game versus Tamworth on Tuesday.

Leon, who secured 39% of the vote, celebrated the occasion with his sponsor for the season, Margaret Fox (and the Fox family), who gave him a specially-made award.

As part of their sponsorship, Margaret and her family wish to promote the British Heart Foundation – https://www.bhf.org.uk/

An extremely consistent month, which saw Leon win Fans Man of the Match awards in games against Coalville Town and Biggleswade Town, were undoubtedly factors in the defender winning the accolade.

Commenting on winning this award, Leon commented: “It’s an honour to win Player of the Month when we have such a great squad.

“It’s been a very strange year and us, as a group of players and club, would like to say thank you to all the supporters who have supported us so far this season.

“Let hope for some more memorable games down the VG!”
