Bromsgrove Sporting is today able to share an update, as the club moves closer to confirming a new controlling interest.
A spokesperson on behalf of Bromsgrove Sporting Holdings Limited, the consortium in the process of acquiring a 75 per cent controlling shareholding in the club, said: “We can confirm that all members of our five-person consortium recently passed The FA Owners’ and Directors’ Test (ODT), as part of the process of taking ownership of Bromsgrove Sporting FC.
“This is our hometown club and one that we believe has huge potential. While we’re excited to have been approved by The FA, and to be closer to realising the club’s potential, shares are yet to be transferred.
“We continue to work closely with the FA and the club’s current owners, including Bromsgrove Sporting Supporters Society Limited (BSSS), and the management team to ensure a stable transition.
“We’re incredibly excited for the future of Bromsgrove Sporting and will share updates with fans as soon as we can.”
Bromsgrove Sporting FC Chairman, Rod Brown, added: “We’ve been working closely with the consortium to get to this stage, and are looking forward to continuing this partnership as their involvement in the club increases in due course.”
