LADIES DEVELOPMENT
- The Ladies Development Team is the final leg of the pyramid into the first team, with a mixture of experience and youth in the side. They are still looking for a manager – contact Alan Williams on 07786 983 951 for more info.
- Ladies Dev 1 – 1 Ludlow Town Women. What a turnaround from the first week of the season – this newly formed team are getting to know each other and even though there were three debutants, it was a good solid display against a physical Ludlow team. Bromsgrove started the game against a very strong wind and were under the cosh for much of the first half. 0-0 HT. The second half was a different story – Bromsgrove were the attacking force and scored a good goal through Hollie. They were a bit unlucky not to get more but disaster then struck – a bit of sloppy defending and it was 1-1. This was the first point earned in their first season!
- They face Welland Ladies this Sunday (2:00 KO).
VETERANS
- The Vets are at the UK Electrical Stadium this Sunday, against SSS Lions (10:30 KO).

GIRLS
- Bromsgrove Sporting Girls U10Â faced Inkberrow Eagles. Another hard fought match – despite a strong Inkberrow, Bromsgrove put up a great performance in the first half and kept it close. Tough luck in the second half, with several girls taking knocks which allowed Inkberrow to draw ahead. They play Kidderminster Lions on Saturday, where hopefully the team will bounce back.
- Bromsgrove Sporting Girls U18 played Premier side Walsall in a friendly game at home. The girls started well and were making quite a few chances before Persia struck in the 6th minute with a well taken goal. They were totally on top and it was no surprise when they bagged their second, although the way it was scored was surprising – direct from a corner by Ruby. 2-0 at HT. The second half was a different story, as Walsall scored following a mistake in the 49th minute before getting their equaliser in the 78th minute following a period of sustained pressure. It wasn’t until the 87th minute when Walsall got their third, with a well taken goal. Pushing forward for the equaliser, Bromsgrove let in a fourth with seconds to go. 2-4 defeat at FT. They play Tamworth Academy next week at home again.
- Bromsgrove Sporting Girls U13Â faced Inkberrow Eagles too. Inkberrow have started the season very strongly and, as expected, provided a stern test. Bromsgroved started the game very well, taking the lead through a nice strike by Immy after 11 minutes. It was an end to end encounter, with some great passing played from both sides. Inkberrow equalised after 17 minutes after some sustained pressure. Sporting pushed to get back in the lead and were rewarded shortly before the break with a nicely worked goal scored by Emilia. After the break, Sporting lost some momentum and had to withstand some pressure and eventually Inkberrow got the equaliser and followed up with what would be the winning goal shortly after. A 3-2 defeat, in what was a great game of football that could have gone either way. The Sporting girls can hold their heads high, learn in defeat and come back stronger.
