GIRLS

  • Bromsgrove Sporting Girls U10 had their first away match of the season against Droitwich Spa Girls and it turned out to be a tightly contested encounter. Despite the pressure of playing away, the girls showcased their skills and understanding of a new formation which they had been working on during training. Their effort and commitment shone through, making it a close game from start to finish. The girls left the field feeling proud of their performance. Their next game is at home to Inkberrow Eagles.
  • Bromsgrove Sporting Girls U18 played Premier side Walsall in a friendly game at home. The girls started well and were making quite a few chances before Persia struck in the 6th minute with a well taken goal. They were totally on top and it was no surprise when they bagged their second, although the way it was scored was surprising – direct from a corner by Ruby. 2-0 at HT. The second half was a different story, as Walsall scored following a mistake in the 49th minute before getting their equaliser in the 78th minute following a period of sustained pressure. It wasn’t until the 87th minute when Walsall got their third, with a well taken goal. Pushing forward for the equaliser, Bromsgrove let in a fourth with seconds to go. 2-4 defeat at FT. They play Tamworth Academy next week at home again.
  • Bromsgrove Sporting Girls U13 did not have a game at the weekend, but took advantage of a week off by having a training session. They are playing Inkberrow Eagles away this weekend.
