REMEMBERING CODY: Minute’s applause at Stourbridge game

This Boxing Day will mark exactly one year since the tragic death of Cody Fisher, who had previously played for Bromsgrove Sporting.

As a mark of respect, a minute’s applause will take place before our match with Stourbridge – another club Cody had spent time at.

A petition was taken to Parliament after reaching 25,000 signatures – this was regarding Cody’s Law, which sought to make metal detectors and bleed kits a lawful requirement at clubs and events.

Bromsgrove Sporting vice chairman, Richard Boorn, comments: “It is important that we honour the memory of Cody as a mark of respect, for a friend and team member of both sides.

“We want to symbolise our love and support for his friends and family on this extremely difficult anniversary.”

Cody will never be forgotten by those that knew him and by all of his former clubs.
